POMSAD and member companies were at the ISK SODEX 2008 fair.

POMSAD and its Member Companies attended the ISK Sodex 2008 fair; The Fair is accepted as a very important venue for the pump and valve sectors, and representatives from different parts of the sectors came together in the same venue. Our association were one of the participants of the fair and had the chance to introduce itself to the sectors and offer its publications to the visitors.

Pomsad Organizes The 6th Pump – Valve Congress In Ankara – Turkey

The 6th Pump – Valve Congress will be held from 16 October to 18 October 2008 in Ankara (Turkey). The Congress is organized by POMSAD, ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, METU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Teknik Yayincilik A.Ş.

Bringing people, who are making research, design, manufacturing, and management on pumps, valves and on the related facilities with these and representatives of other institutions’ which are making contributions to the sector together is the main purpose of the Congress. During the congress, subjects on the fields of activity of the sector will be discussed by the people working for the different fields of the sectors.

Our association attented CEIR 2008 Annual Meeting

Our association attended The European Committee for the Valve Industry’s (CEIR) 2008 Annual Meeting held at the capital of Belgium (Brussels) in 24-25 April. During the meetings important represantatives of the sector coming from different countries made presentations on various subjects and Product Committes in three categories (Sanitary, Building, Industrial Valves) gathered upon and discussed their work in the previous year and made necessary arrangements for the coming year.

15th Book Has Been Printed

The 15th book issued by POMSAD, “A Guide for Centrifuge Pump Systems with High Energy Efficiency, System Efficiency” has been translated into Turkish and now is in service for the sector. The book, which will create a new reference point in the sector, is the work of the Europump Technical Commission.

Pomsad 2007 Pump-Valve Export Import Inventory Is In Service For The Sector

POMSAD presents the pump and valve foreign trade outputs semi annually, so organized as to make examination and comparison easy; it also shares its works with the sector. The 2007 inventory, with 112 pages, a dozen tariffs and with export and import numbers going back to 2001, includes a wide range of information about the commercial volumes around “84.81 of Valves” and ”84.13 of pumps for liquids” .

Association’s Main Office Moved To Ankara, Secretary General Took Up His Duty

POMSAD moved its main Office to Ankara after changing its charter in the last term. With the decision of executing the office work from Ankara for 2007 and next years, association stepped into a more professional term, with the aim of getting the participation which will support the growth and achieving the data flow. Association aims to; produce new projects, represent its members in a broader sense by working more active and effective, has the dynamic of working together by increasing the consciousness of being an organization and member interaction.

Our Secretary General Gökhan Sezer Türktan took up his duty on 12.02.2008. Gökhan Sezer Türktan was born in 1981 and graduated from TED Ankara College (1999) and Bilkent University, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Department of Political Science and Public Administration (2003); He took his M.A degree from University of Birmingham on International Political Economy (2004).

Pomsad Member Catalogue Project Is Almost Finished

We are aiming to access more people for our member presentation, by publishing our Member Catalogue both in English and in Turkish. In the catalogue, there will be general information about our Association and names, logos, addresses, histories, photographs and product ranges of our member companies’ will be found inside. After completion of the catalogue, it will be distributed to related institutions, and will be in service for everyone in the sector. In the fairs we will participate, the catalogue will also be distributed to the participants and visitors and by this way the introduction of the Association and its members will be achieved.

Europump Terminology Cd's Being Prepared By Pomsad

The CD named “Pump Component Names” having all the pump components’ names with drawings, which was prepared by EUROPUMP, with an overall 300 pages, with English, French, Italian, Spanish and German language options; soon will be prepared by our Association with the Turkish option included and will be ready for Turkish users.

World Pump, Valve And Actuator Marketing Survey Has Been Updated

The survey which the British Institution EIF(European Industrial Forecasting Limited Company) made for the thirty-five national associations who are members of CEIR and Europump and who wish to follow the developments of the global market within the sector in more detail for the three-year period between 2005 and 2007 has finished its third and the last term.

Machine Industry Sectoral Platform Constituted, Our Association Signed The Platform Protocol

With the signing of Formation Protocol by 27 Association and Union, the platform is constituted on 5 November 2007. The platform will be consisting of co-chairmanship system, executive board, secretary and technical committees. The platform’s main purpose is, to make contribution to the improvement and development of Turkish Machine Manufacture Industry together with other supplier industry. The platform will work in order to create sectoral policies and applications. It is going to have an important role for the improvement of the sector together with supplier industries during the EU Integration Process, and strengthen the sector in the global competition. Pomsad Supports ISK – Sodex Istanbul 2008 International Sanitary And HVAC&R Exhibition

ISK – SODEX Exhibition is organized on a biennial basis in Istanbul, the exhibition, when pump and valve sectors are taken into consideration, is accepted as one of the most important exhibitions held in Turkey. Being one of the supporters of the exhibition, POMSAD will take its place in the exhibition and by this way we will both be able to offer our new publications to the sector and the visitors, and find a chance to introduce our members. During the fair we are willing to give information about our association and about our activities to the whole pump and valve sectors.
